Air-cooling unit
A compressor-condenser unit is an outdoor unit that compresses refrigerant, releases heat into the atmosphere, and supplies cold liquid refrigerant to the evaporator in an air handling unit. This allows the ventilation system to cool large volumes of supply air and maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.

A compressor-condenser unit is an outdoor unit responsible for producing cooling in ventilation and air conditioning systems. Put simply, it is the “engine” of a refrigerant-based cooling system. The CCU compresses the refrigerant, releases its heat into the atmosphere, and sends the cold liquid refrigerant on to the refrigerant evaporator installed in the air handling unit. This is how the air supplied to the room is cooled.
Design and operating principle
The main components of a CCU are the compressor, condenser, fans, relays and controls, along with a protective enclosure. The compressor compresses gaseous refrigerant, significantly raising its temperature. The hot refrigerant flows into the condenser, while the fans draw outdoor air through it. Heat is released into the atmosphere, the refrigerant cools and becomes a liquid, then flows to the indoor unit. The cycle then repeats.

Compressor-condenser units are widely used in central ventilation and air conditioning systems where large volumes of supply air need to be cooled.

Planas CCU series
The Planas product range includes compressor-condenser units for various operating conditions and ventilation system configurations. The right solution is selected to suit the project requirements.
For typical ventilation and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings.
Options adapted to operating conditions in different regions and temperature zones.
Custom configurations are developed to meet the requirements of the project documentation.
A compressor-condenser unit operates on a closed refrigeration cycle that continuously cools the supply air.
The compressor compresses gaseous refrigerant, increasing its pressure and temperature.
Hot refrigerant flows through the condenser, where fans draw outdoor air through it and carry away the heat.
The refrigerant cools, becomes a liquid and flows to the evaporator.
The evaporator in the air handling unit draws heat from the refrigerant and cools the supplied air.
The refrigerant returns to the compressor and the cycle starts again.

Klimatrade support
Klimatrade supplies climate control equipment through professional partners, design organizations and installation companies. We help with equipment selection, consultations and technical support.
An outdoor compressor-condenser unit can be used as part of an air handling unit, a central or ducted air conditioner, or an industrial air conditioning system. Klimatrade specialists select compressor-condenser units to match project requirements, including the required cooling capacity, evaporator type, temperature range, pipe run length, installation conditions and control requirements. We can recommend a CCU for an air handling unit, a CCU for ventilation, a CCU for a central air conditioner or a CCU for a ducted air conditioner. If you need a compressor-condenser unit for air cooling, submit a request—we will calculate the required CCU capacity, recommend the optimal configuration and prepare a commercial proposal. Depending on the application, you can choose a standard compressor-condenser unit or one with an inverter compressor for more precise capacity control. A custom calculation is required to buy a compressor-condenser unit or find out the price of a CCU. The cost depends on the capacity, compressor type, refrigerant, controls, operating mode and operating conditions. We supply compressor-condenser units for commercial and industrial facilities. Compressor-condenser units are available in Kazakhstan, including in Almaty and Astana. Submit a request—Klimatrade specialists will help you select a CCU for industrial air conditioning systems and prepare a solution for your facility.
It is an outdoor unit that produces cooling for the refrigerant evaporator in a supply ventilation system. It compresses the refrigerant, releases heat into the atmosphere and supplies cooled refrigerant to the indoor circuit.
They are used in supply and exhaust air handling units with refrigerant cooling, as well as in central air conditioning systems in office, retail, industrial and public buildings.
Selection takes into account airflow rate, the required cooling temperature, refrigerant cooler capacity, the local climate and air handling unit specifications.
Maintenance includes regular condenser cleaning, refrigerant level checks, and diagnostics of the compressor, fans and controls.
Yes. Modern CCUs are equipped with controls that coordinate operation with the ventilation unit and maintain the set parameters.
